Job Description

Mechanicville City School District is currently looking to fill a full-time Special Education Teacher 7-12 position, to commence on September 9, 2026.

This position reports to the Director of Student Support Services. The Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of all students with disabilities. This position requires adaptability and a positive attitude.

The position is in the Jr./Sr High School.

Special Education Teacher Expectations

• Provides specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student’s IEP.
• Assesses student progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.
• Employs various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals.

 

Salary and benefits per the MTA contract
