Job Description

The Mechanicville City School District is currently seeking a full-time (10-month) school nurse to join our Jr/Sr High School team, effective September 2, 2025.

Our Jr/Sr High School nurse will be responsible for providing health services, promoting healthy living and wellness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide healthcare services for students and staff, including first aid, emergency care, and medication administration.
• Develop and implement healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions.
• Monitor and maintain student health records, including immunization records and health assessments.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments, such as vision and hearing tests.
• Communicate with parents, teachers and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations, such as immunization requirements and communicable disease control measures. 

Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• Valid RN license
• Knowledge of current healthcare practices, including first aid and emergency care.
• Familiarity with federal and state health regulations, such as immunization requirements and communicable disease control measures.
